Team Jigger Foundation launches Chair Aware 2021
With further COVID-19 restrictions announced by the Alberta Government on Tuesday, May 4, organizers and partners of the first ever Chair Aware event have decided to postpone the fundraiser until such a time that restrictions are lifted and the event can proceed as planned.
“In the interest of public health, and to ensure maximum impact of the awareness component of our Chair Aware event, our team decided we had a responsibility to participants and partners to postpone this event,” says Jason ‘Jigger’ Lunn about the current situation.
“With many offices moving to additional remote work, appointment-based interactions and many other businesses having capacity or ability reduced, the timing is just not right,” adds Lunn.
Originally scheduled for May 17 – 21, the Team Jigger Foundation’s inaugural Chair Aware event is still ready to launch, restrictions permitting, in 2021. “A new date has not yet been established, but everything is in place and ready to go. As soon as we’re able to safely organize and execute Chair Aware, we’ll ramp up our messaging,” says Lunn.
