Charges pending following reported shooting in Deer Park

Red Deer RCMP say charges are pending after a shooting was reported Wednesday night in Deer Park.

Police were called about the incident outside a residence in the neighbourhood at about 8:30 p.m. No injuries were reported and a suspect vehicle was identified.

RCMP located the suspect vehicle about a half hour later. The vehicle fled police and a pursuit ensued, ending a short time later in a rural area east of the city.

One individual was taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing.
