Red Deer records 30th COVID death, active cases down to 195
For the first time in over a month Red Deer has fewer than 200 active cases of COVID-19.
Tuesday’s latest numbers from the province show the city with 195 active cases, down 54 from 249 on Monday and Red Deer’s lowest total since there were 185 active cases as of Feb. 3.
There have been 2,631 recoveries, an increase of 56 as the total number of COVID-19 cases attributed to Red Deer rose by just three to a total of 2,856.
Unfortunately, Red Deer has recorded another death due to COVID-19 to bring the total to 30. The death of a man in his 80s on March 9 is linked to the outbreak at Symphony Senior Living Aspen Ridge. The case included comorbidities.
