Red Deer Hospital Lottery back for 2021

On March 12, the Red Deer Hospital Lottery proudly kicks off its 24^th year of supporting the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre (RDRHC), Alberta’s Central Zone hub for quality care.

Proceeds from the Lottery have exceeded $9 million since its inception; the lottery has become a huge success and has plenty to celebrate!

For a seventh year we are proud to partner with Sorento Custom Homes for the 2021 Red Deer Hospital Lottery Dream Home! The dream home is the coming together of modern design and comfortable functionality. This $840,000 bungalow features 3,342 square feet of developed living space. The design of this unique home is complemented by gorgeous furnishings provided by The Brick. Plus – new this year, the home prize package includes $10,000 cash, bringing the total Grand Prize Dream Home package to $880,619! Our Dream Home is located in the community of Laredo on the south east corner of Red Deer.

There are 135 prizes to be won valued at more than $1 million. This year’s Early Bird prize is $25,000 Cash! Our Mega Bucks 50 Raffle is back featuring a million-dollar jackpot with a minimum cash payout of $200,000.

Every ticket purchased will support the purchase of electronic fetal monitors and other equipment for the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre and healthcare centres around rural Central Alberta. Fetal heart rates are monitored during pregnancy, labour, and birth to assess the baby’s wellbeing. Each year there are over 2,700 births at RDRHC alone, and electronic fetal monitoring is performed multiple times during pregnancy.

New electronic fetal monitors have a number of features not available with the current, paper-based systems. The ability to quickly review, assess, and interpret records is important. New monitors will ensure additional peace of mind to labouring mothers.

The show home is open to the public beginning March 13 at 1 p.m. Show home hours are Saturdays and Sundays only from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m., but may change. Please check the website before visiting. Strict COVID protocols will be in place to ensure the safety of guests and volunteers.
