Alberta’s COVID-19 vaccine distribution increases; 1,300 new cases reported

The chief medical officer of health also said the rate of vaccine distribution has increased from 6,502 to 14,244 over the past three days, boosting the rate by 119 per cent.

By the end of Friday, according to Hinshaw, the rate of distribution will increase by nearly 160 per cent after 3,000 more doses of the vaccine are expected to be administered.

Here is an update on vaccine distribution in AB.

Over the past 3 days (Dec. 29-31), AHS has increased the # of vaccine doses delivered by 119% – 6,504 to 14,244.

By the end of today, about 3,000 more vaccine doses will be administered – that's an increase of 160% over 4 days.

Here is today's #COVID19AB modified update.

On Dec. 31, there was an estimated:
– 1,300 cases
– 16,300 laboratory tests
– 8% positivity
– hospitalizations – stable
– ICU – stable
