Building permits up in November

Building permit applications increased in quantity and value in November, according to The City of Red Deer.

Total permit values continue to rise over the previous year, rising from $114.7 million from January to November 2019 to $254.7 million during the same period in 2020.

Last month 78 permits were issued, compared with 62 in November 2019.

Notable permits include:

• Building permit to construct a new Justice Centre at 4810 48 Avenue, valued at $129,714,000

• Building permit to construct a detached dwelling with front attached garage, front veranda, uncovered deck and basement development at 151 Ellington Crescent, valued at $234,021

• Building permit to construct a detached dwelling with front attached garage and rear uncovered deck at 181 Emerald Drive, valued at $204,214

• Building permit to construct a detached dwelling with attached garage, front veranda, uncovered deck and basement development at 5 Talisman Close, valued at $200,304

• Building permit to reduce width of overhead door and replace with new door at 150 Lockwood Avenue, valued at $193,865.
