Westerner Park postpones “A Very Acoustic Christmas” with George Canyon

Westerner Park has been forced to postpone A Very Acoustic Christmas with George Canyon until 2021.

Westerner Park officials say the decision was made following Tuesday’s announcement of new provincial government measures to protect Alberta’s health system and reduce the rising spread of COVID-19.

“We know that by taking these measures now, we are doing our part to protect the health and safety of our community.,” said Westerner Park CEO Mike Olesen.

Canyon’s three scheduled shows from Dec. 3-5 were sold out.

“Thank you to our community. Selling out three dates for A Very Acoustic Christmas with George Canyon in only six hours is a testament to the confidence our guests have in us to safely and successfully produce events.” added Olesen.

Officials say Westerner Park’s goal is to deliver a celebration experience to their guests in a safe and comfortable environment.

They are now anticipated to work with their partners to try and find the appropriate time to host another event with George Canyon in 2021.

All ticket purchasers will be contacted directly and refunded through Tickets Alberta.
