Sylvan Lake Mounties want you to give them the bird
RCMP in Sylvan Lake say you’ll get a ticket for stunting worth $567 if you flip them a middle finger.
But for those who want to give them the bird, members will be accepting frozen turkeys on Dec. 5 to support the Sylvan Lake Food Bank’s christmas basket program.
The charity checkstop will be located at 47 Street and Herder Drive where RCMP members will be stationed alongside their fire department allies.
“[This will] warm your heart and help those in our community who are in need,” says Staff Sergeant Jeff McBeth. “This is a fantastic tongue-in-cheek initiative that brings a bit of humour to a great cause.”
