Alberta updates COVID-19 numbers for July 7

Alberta has reported 47 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 8,436.

There are 620 active cases in the province, an increase of 13 since Monday, and 7,659 recovered cases, an increase of 32.

There are 54 Albertans in hospital, six of whom are in ICU. The provincial death toll from the virus rose by two to 157.

More than 6,000 tests were completed in the past 24 hours.
