Outdoor fitness classes to start July 7 in Red Deer
Red Deerians are invited to participate in The City’s new outdoor fitness classes, starting July 7 at Setters Place at Great Chief Park.
“We’re excited to start providing outdoor fitness classes as a way to encourage Red Deerians to stay healthy, active, and socially connected,” said Barb McKee, Recreation Superintendent. “The large open space at Setters Place offers plenty of room for people to participate in a variety of activities while following physical distance guidelines. Our qualified instructors have created a variety of classes that provide opportunities for different ages, abilities and fitness levels. Everyone is welcome!”
Registration will open Thursday, July 2 and pre-registration is required for all classes. Participants are required to arrive not more than 10 minutes prior to the class start, and to depart within 10 minutes of the class end. There is no access change rooms on site. Washrooms are available.
Participants should use hand sanitizer before and after class, remain 2 metres away from others and not share equipment. Anyone experiencing COVID19 symptoms should refrain from attending classes. We recommend participants bring the following items to each class:
