Alberta’s first tornado of the year has been confirmed near the community of Mossleigh, about 90 kilometres southeast of Calgary.
Environment Canada says a landspout tornado touched down just after 10 a.m. Wednesday.
No damage has been reported.
The tornado has been classified an E-F Zero, the weakest on the scale and the kind that rarely touches down. When they do, they tend to cause little damage.
