A phone tip last week led to Innisfail RCMP arresting a suspicious male who just happened to be possessing crystal methamphetamine.

It was just after 5 p.m. on April 19 when Mounties received a call from a concerned citizen about a suspicious male who appeared to be looking in parked vehicles.

RCMP located the suspicious male, who fled from police on foot but was quickly apprehended.

Upon searching the suspect police located over 12 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Bryce James Hamilton, 24, of Red Deer County has been charged with possession of crystal methamphetamine and resisting arrest.

Hamilton was released from custody to appear in Red Deer provincial court, on August 19.

“Property Crime and Crime Reduction remain a priority for Innisfail RCMP and residents are asked to continue to report any suspicious activity in their neighbourhoods,” Sgt. Lori Eiler says in a release.
