RCMP arrest 13 in Wetaskiwin, lay drug and firearm-related charges

Thirteen people were arrested last week after RCMP raided a residence in Wetaskiwin.

Maskwacis RCMP, with assistance from members at Wetaskiwin detachment, executed a search warrant on April 23, and arrested 13 occupants without incident.

During the search, they discovered a sawed-off shotgun, a sawed-off rifle, a taser, heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine and cannabis. The items were seized along with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Other items located inside the residence indicated drug trafficking had been taking place.

Charged are six people, including Ronald George Thom, 27, David Gordon Hill, 62, and Nicole Agnes Buffalo, 38, all of Wetaskiwin.

Jenise Kendra Bull, 40, Angela Christie Littlechild, 44, and William Edgar Littlechild, 21, all of Maskwacis are also charged.

Nicole Buffalo was released on an undertaking to appear in court on June 23. Angela Littlechild, William Littlechild, Jenise Bull and David Hill were released on conditions and are scheduled to appear in Wetaskiwin provincial court on July 23. Ronald Thom was remanded and is scheduled to appear in court on April 28.
