Wranglers win pair in extra time over Vipers to start playoff series
The Red Deer Vipers and Sylvan Lake Wranglers are in the midst of a heated first round series in the HJHL playoffs which Sylvan leads 2-0. Both games have required more than sixty minutes.
Game one saw the Wranglers win 7-6 in double overtime at the Servus Arena.
Red Deer jumped out to a 2-0 lead before Sylvan Lake tied it 2-2 through 20 minutes.
The Wranglers took a 3-2 lead in the second before the Vipers stormed out to a 6-4 lead through two periods.
