A 62-year-old man suffered non-life-threatening injuries Sunday after being stabbed in Red Deer’s Riverside Meadows neighbourhood.

RCMP responded just after 12 p.m. on Feb. 9 to the area of 61 Street and 58 Avenue where a stabbing had occurred outside.

The 44-year-old female suspect fled, but was located nearby and arrested.

Alana Mykat, who police say is known to the victim, faces one count of aggravated assault. She is scheduled to appear in Red Deer provincial court on Feb. 20.
