$15,600 grant supports the Family School Enhancement Program in Innisfail
INNISFAIL- Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools has received a $15,600 grant from Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) to help enrich the Family School Enhancement Program for students attending St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Catholic School in Innisfail and their families.
“This grant will help my school in a number of ways. We are planning on hosting positive parenting sessions two times throughout the year, with the hope of working with up to 20 families throughout the year (10 at a time). We have many ideas for this money, with the hope of helping our most vulnerable families feel more connected to supports and their children who live in Innisfail,” said Principal Kelly Jacobson.
“Our Family School Enhancement Programs are highly trained and experienced individuals who bridge the gap between families, local/community agencies and the school. They ensure that our students and their families are able to access the necessary supports to function optimally,” said Michelle Wright, Division Principal at Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools.
