Three flu deaths in Alberta

Three people died in Alberta from lab-conformed influenza over the past week.

The deaths, the first of the current flu season, occurred in the Calgary, Edmonton and North zones, according to the latest report from Alberta Health Services.

AHS releases no further details regarding flu-related deaths due to privacy concerns.

So for this season, 911 cases of influenza A and B have been reported, with 181 people being admitted to hospital for treatment.
