EDMONTON- A homeless man convicted of setting multiple vehicles on fire last April has been sentenced to 15 months in jail.

Malice Sutton, 23, pleaded guilty in August to four charges including arson with disregard for human life and possessing an explosive device.

He damaged 13 vehicles by pouring gasoline on them and setting them on fire before two men put him under citizen’s arrest at a coffee shop.

Sutton apologized in court before his sentencing where he was given credit for 230 days already served.
