Mounties in Saskatchewan believe a man wanted in relation to a three-year-old fraud investigation is in Alberta, and a Canada-wide warrant has been issued for his arrest.

In December of 2016, the Yorkton RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) initiated a fraud investigation into the development of a large retail clothing store on Broadway Avenue in Yorkton, SK.

Police say that a general contractor company from Calgary, named GNRL Construction, won a bid to renovate a clothing store. Several other local companies were then subcontracted to complete the project.

During the course of the investigation, RCMP say it was determined that GNRL Construction fraudulently failed to pay the subcontractors for the work completed.

The Yorkton GIS have actively been trying to locate the owner of GNRL Construction and have issued a Canada-wide warrant for the arrest of Christos Eutathios Fotopoulos, 37 of Calgary. Fotopoulos is charged with fraud over $5000, theft over $5000 and breach of trust.

If you have any information about his whereabouts, please contact the Yorkton GIS unit by calling 306-786-4520. Information can also be submitted anonymously to Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or submitting a tip online at www.saskcrimestoppers.com.
