Support STARS Air Ambulance this Saturday at both Red Deer Save-On-Foods locations
A young Red Deerian will once again be selling hot chocolate and other treats this coming weekend in support of STARS Air Ambulance.
Jayden Sorsdahl, now 11, needed STARS when he was six and had to be flown from the Red Deer area to hospital in Calgary. Jayden was diagnosed with SIADH/Hyponatremia, a condition that causes sodium levels to plummet to dangerous numbers.
In 2018, Jayden decided he wanted to give back, and his ‘Hot Chocolate for Helicopters’ fundraiser now returns for a second go-round.
He and other family members will be at both Red Deer Save-On-Foods locations (north and East Hill) from 12-4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5. They are hoping to raise $3000 between both locations.
