Missing Airdrie teen’s cellphone last pinged in Nordegg area

Police have offered an update Monday on a teenager missing from his Airdrie home.

RCMP now say 16-year-old Zachary Lemay’s cellphone last pinged in the Nordegg area near Rocky Mountain House. His phone was reportedly turned off at about 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 13.

Lemay was last seen getting gas at a station in Airdrie at about 10 a.m. that same day. He was alone at the time.

RCMP would like to confirm his wellbeing.

Lemay is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • 6’1″ tall
  • 230 lbs
  • Light brown hair
  • Hazel eyes
  • Last seen wearing an olive green hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, cowboy boots, dark brown ball cap

He is driving a 1995 white/aqua Ford F250 with Alberta licence plate CDC 9685.
