Aug 12, 2019 | 8:55 PM

BROOKS, AB – Brooks RCMP may have done a double take when they clocked a driver travelling as fast as he was over the weekend.

At 9:45 p.m. on Friday, August 9, officers were doing patrols of Highway 1 when they saw a westbound vehicle driving at a high speed.

They claim that the vehicle registered a speed of 226 km/hour on the radar.

β€œThe vehicle has recently passed several other vehicles at this speed, putting other users of the roadway at significant risk,” reads a media release from Brooks RCMP.
