Glendale vehicle fire not considered suspicious
Thankfully there were no injuries following a vehicle fire in north Red Deer early Friday morning.
That according to Shane Dussault, Fire Safety Codes Officer with Red Deer Emergency Services, who says crews were called out at 2:41 a.m. to a residence on Gilbert Crescent in the Glendale neighbourhood.
“The fire was contained to the engine compartment of the vehicle but does not appear to be suspicious at this time,” says Dussault. “It just appears to be an accidental fire. We’re just finishing up the investigation on it.”
Dussault says the BMW 335 was unoccupied at the time and despite having no damage estimate, he believes the car will not be salvageable.
