Thompson drops out of one series to focus on three others
Parker Thompson is pulling out of one of the four series he’s been competing in this season, the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge USA with team JDX Racing.
Thompson has raced in six events on the circuit this year, winning one and earning five podiums to put him second in the championship standings with a handful of races to go.
However, the 21-year-old has been forced to make some tough decisions in balancing his schedule with the abundance of opportunities that have come his way in 2019.
“As the Indy Pro 2000 championship battle heats up, it is clear that I need to devote more of my focus to that series, and the opportunity to advance in the open wheel rankings. With that in mind, I regret that I am unable to continue my partnership with JDX Racing and the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge USA series,” Thompson states.
