Walk to End ALS raises more than $70,000 in Red Deer
The Walk to End ALS took place in a number of Alberta cities over the weekend.
At Great Chief Park in Red Deer, the event raised over $70,000 for research and programming for patients.
Marni Halwas, Manager, Communications & Fundraising, ALS Society of Alberta, says the disease can strike any person at any age.
“Sixty per cent of funds are allocated to client support services, and that includes our equipment loan program,” says Halwas.
