Man suffers serious head injuries in Railyards assault

RCMP are asking for the public’s help with any information regarding an assault in Red Deer’s Railyards neighbourhood on Sunday.

Mounties confirm a 33-year-old Red Deer man was found in a semi-conscious state around 4:45 p.m. with serious head injuries in the parking lot of Cannery Row Mall (5239 53 Ave).

Police say EMS attended and treated the man at the scene before he was taken by STARS Air Ambulance to Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary in serious condition.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Red Deer RCMP at 403-343-5575.
