COMMUNITY STANDARDS BYLAW

Input sought on new Community Standards Bylaw

Apr 4, 2019 | 9:06 AM

LACOMBE- The City is seeking public input on the proposed Community Standards Bylaw.

It will establish regulations on how residents and businesses conduct themselves in public.

The bylaw will regulate property maintenance, garage sales, light pollution, littering, excessive idling, noise and more.

“A municipal bylaw requires three readings in order to be adopted,” says Director of Corporate Services Diane Piche. “Council recently passed first reading of the proposed bylaw, and before proceeding with second and third readings, would like businesses and residents to provide input regarding any impacts this new bylaw might have on their activities.”

The survey is available from April 3 to April 30.

To take the survey visit: www.lacombe.ca/feedback.

The survey results will be presented to Council for review and discussion in May, and shared with the public.
