RDC awaits ‘The Decision’ this Thursday

It’s safe to surmise that Thursday will be a big day for Red Deer College.

On their website, RDC is inviting everyone to an event they’ve dubbed ‘The Decision’ this Thursday at 2:45 p.m. at the RDC Arts Centre Mainstage. 

“Join the Honourable Marlin Schmidt, Minister of Advanced Education, as he announces the decision that will impact Red Deer College’s future for decades to come,” the invite reads.

There are no further details regarding the announcement at this time, however it’s expected that Schmidt will announce degree-granting or polytechnic status for RDC.

At their annual State of the College address earlier this month, college officials shared their confidence that an announcement regarding degree-granting status was “imminent.”
