Province rubber stamps Penhold, Bowden annexations from Red Deer County

The province has signed off on a pair of land annexations from Red Deer County for the town of Bowden and Penhold.

Bowden is annexing a 200 acre area to the southwest of town that is expected to be highly beneficial for the farming community.

Penhold, meantime, is adding eight quarter sections, or just about 1300 acres to the north and east of its current town boundaries for a mix of commercial, industrial and residential uses.
