Semi hits train near Beiseker

BEISEKER- RCMP were called to a collision between a semi and a train yesterday morning on Highway 575 at approximately 11 a.m.

The semi, which was loaded with grain, struck the train and caused a minor derailment which blocked the highway.

The truck driver was treated on scene for minor injuries.

Heavy fog is believed to have been a factor in the crash.

The road was closed for several hours while the truck and train were cleared from the crossing.
