Correction: Depression-Forgotten Black Workers story
DETROIT — In a story April 7 about black work camps during the Great Depression, The Associated Press, relying on information from the University of Michigan, erroneously reported that the photos the university’s Bentley Historical Library acquired from a private donor are the only known images of the state’s segregated all-black Civilian Conservation Corps camps. They are rare and among few such surviving images.
