Jun 3, 2018 | 4:14 PM

Two men accused in a liquor store robbery in Rocky Mountain House have scheduled bail hearings.

On May 7, RCMP responded after two masked males entered the store and bear sprayed an employee.

The males took several bottles of liquor and left in a silver Jeep Liberty travelling northbound toward Highway 11.

Police say the employee suffered non-life threatening injuries and was treated by emergency medical services.

RCMP made patrols and located the vehicle travelling on O’Chiese First Nations Main Road. The SUV failed to pull over for the RCMP and a brief pursuit ensued until the vehicle drove into the ditch on a gravel lease road.

The two men were arrested and taken into custody with the assistance of the Police Dog Services (PDS).

Francis Xavier Maurice, 27, of Red Deer and Farron Cory Rowan, 30, of Sunchild First Nation each face several charges including robbery, assault with a weapon, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and disguise with intent to commit offence.

The two are due back in court on June 13.
