Don MacIntyre sexual assault case heading toward resolution
The court case against former Innisfail-Sylvan Lake MLA Don MacIntyre is working toward a resolution.
MacIntyre was not present in Red Deer Court of Queen’s Bench on Monday for arraignment. He was represented by Counsel Heather Ferg, who was appearing on behalf of MacIntyre’s Calgary lawyer Ian McKay.
Ferg indicated they are anticipating resolution in the case in which the 62-year-old is charged with sexual assault and sexual interference. The matter has been put over until January 11, 2019.
MacIntyre resigned from his first term as MLA after being charged in February.
