UPDATE: Mounties locate missing woman, one man in custody

UPDATED at 4:25 p.m.

Red Deer RCMP say 48-year-old Aurora Rafer has been located unharmed, and that a 47-year-old man is in custody in relation to her disappearance Wednesday morning. 

RCMP are thanking the public for their co-operation as police checked on similar vehicles to the maroon Chevrolet Avalanche being sought.

Officers investigated several possible sightings in various areas in and around Red Deer before the vehicle in question was located in the 5100 Block of 38 Street. 

City Mounties were assisted by the RCMP Emergency Response Team during this investigation.

Police do not have more information available regarding this investigation at this time but say they will issue an update tomorrow (Thursday) as more information becomes available.

It was just after 9 a.m. Wednesday when Red Deer RCMP issued a bulletin requesting “urgent assistance” to locate Rafer.
