RED DEER- Two local organizations will receive over $8,000 from Lowe’s Canada Heroes campaign.

Every Lowe’s, RONA, and Reno-Depot corporate store across the country supported a non-profit organization or public school in the community by collecting donations to help it fulfill its mission or carry out a specific project.

A total of over 260 local organizations — including the Red Deer Food Bank and Hope Mission — were financially supported by this campaign throughout September.

Customers from the Red Deer area were invited to make a donation at check-out to support these local organizations.

Lowe’s Red Deer donated $5,157 to the Red Deer Food Bank and Rona Red Deer (North) donated $3,220 to the Hope Mission.

“At Lowe’s Canada, our purpose is to help people love where they live, and that goes beyond our stores. It’s important to us to make a tangible difference in the communities we serve across the country,” said Jean-Sébastien Lamoureux, Senior Vice-President, Communications, Public Affairs and Compliance at Lowe’s Canada.
