Sundre RCMP investigating alleged shooting along Red Deer River
Sundre Mounties are looking to the public for more information on an incident that left one man with a gunshot wound and in hospital.
RCMP say it was Oct. 18 (Thursday) at around 9:30 a.m. when they received a complaint from the Sundre Hospital that an adult male victim had attended with a gunshot wound to his lower extremities.
The victim stated that earlier that morning, he was at a bonfire party along the Red Deer River with approximately 15-20 other people. It was there, he says, that he was shot.
The victim was taken to hospital by an unknown person and dropped off. The victim also could only provide vague details of where the event occurred and if there were any witnesses.
