UPDATED: Men charged after Rocky Mountie bear sprayed, assaulted during arrest
A man accused of assaulting an RCMP officer with bear spray during his arrest this week remains behind bars for a court appearance in Rocky Mountain House next month.
Christopher Wickins-Pearse, 22, of no fixed address, faces 46 counts and is due in Alberta Provincial Court in Rocky Mountain House November 7.
On October 24, Mounties say a man was reported to have stolen several bottles of liquor from the Great Canadian Liquor store before fleeing in a stolen Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck.
A few days later on October 27, police conducted a traffic stop in the Creekside neighbourhood of Rocky Mountain House with the same stolen vehicle.
