Busy weekend for Edmonton and area firefighters

EDMONTON- Firefighters in and around Edmonton were kept busy in sweltering heat yesterday fighting fires that damaged or destroyed a number of homes.

Two houses went up in flames and a third was damaged in Spruce Grove early Sunday morning.

Then last evening, three homes were damaged in Beaumont.

No one was hurt in either of those fires, but one person was taken to hospital when flames erupted at a four-storey apartment complex in south Edmonton.
