Manning Centre’s Networking Conference held in Red Deer
Supporters of Canada’s conservative movement gathered at Red Deer College on Saturday for a conference aiming to capture the desire for big thinking on critical issues facing Western Canada and the country as a whole.
The Manning Centre’s second annual Alberta Manning Networking Conference saw roughly 300 participants, including elected officials, candidates, business leaders, and grassroots advocates all attend the sold-out event.
The conference’s theme “Big Ideas for the Big West” featured an agenda that included panel discussions on subjects such as Multiculturalism/Canadian Identity, modern political activism techniques, and restoring fiscal sanity to the province.
Notable participants included speakers Jason Kenney, Leader of the Opposition in Alberta, lawyer & author Jamil Jivani, media personality Rex Murphy and the Head of Public Policy at Twitter Canada – Michele Austin among others.
