Plan to develop Hazlett Lake area moves forward

Red Deer city council has given second and third readings on Monday to the Multi-Neighbourhood Plan and first Neighbourhood Area Structure Plan for the land to be developed north of Hwy 11A.

One change made prior to Monday’s approval will see the R1 Residential (low density) District proposed for an area to the west of Hazlett Lake changed to R1G Residential (small lot) District.

The other removes R2T Residential (Town House) District from the community amenity site and replaces it with R2 Residential (Medium Density) District.

This matter will come back to council at some point in the future for the next step in the planning and development process.
