Police looking into Railyards stabbing Thursday night

Red Deer RCMP are investigating a stabbing which they say happened in the city’s Railyards area near the downtown.

Police say it was just after 9 p.m. on Thursday (Jan. 24) night when they responded to a call for an injured person at 5239 53 Avenue.

The victim was treated by EMS and taken to hospital where he remains with serious injuries.

Mounties do not believe the incident was random.
