Former City of Wetaskiwin councillor found not guilty of sexual assault

WETASKIWIN- A former municipal politician has been found not guilty of sexual assault.

Joe Branco was charged in May 2017 based on events that allegedly occurred between July 2011 and December 2014.

He was acquitted in a ruling brought down January 17.

Branco served as a councillor in Wetaskiwin for 10 years until July 2017.
