Red Deer County hosting free Ag Lease Land Workshop

Red Deer County Agricultural Services is presenting a workshop on Ag land lease agreements.

The workshop takes place on February 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Red Deer County Centre.

Topics for the day will include: What to know when leasing or renting agricultural lands – considerations from both sides of the agreement.

There will also be information on ensuring leased land is healthy for years to come.

Experts from Alberta Agriculture, Industry, and the Farmers Advocate Office will cover the ins and outs of these agreements and respond to questions.

According to Red Deer County Agricultural Services Manager Cody McIntosh, “This is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in leasing agricultural lands. The speakers on hand are experts in the many different considerations when entering into an agreement like this.”

There is no charge to attend this workshop and lunch will be provided.
