Night sky lit up after fatal two-vehicle crash near Airdrie

AIRDRIE- Emergency medical officials confirm that one person is dead after a fiery crash involving a semi-trailer transport and a pickup truck on the QE2 north of Calgary.

The accident happened around 1:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the highway near Airdrie.

The officials say both vehicles were engulfed in flame when crews arrived at the scene.

Two people in the semi were not hurt.
