Record round headlines day three at Canadian Jr. Boys Golf Championship

It was a tough third round for Chandler McDowell at the Canadian Junior Boys Golf Championship.

The 17-year-old from the Red Deer Golf and Country Club posted a four-over-par 74 at the Cataraqui Golf & Country Club in Kingston, Ontario on Wednesday.

McDowell came into the day just one shot off the lead but now sits tied for 12th heading into Thursday’s final round at plus-one for the tournament.

Calvin Ross of Fredericton, NB stole the show on Wednesday, firing a course record eight-under-par 62 to take a seven shot lead into the final round. Ross is now ten-under for the tournament.
