RED DEER- The next Riverlands construction project is utility work and road construction on the riverfront portion of 45 Street.
Work is scheduled to start Monday, August 14, and there will be road closures and detours in place.
Work will take place in phases and the city will provide updates on the road closures and detours as they change.
August 14-20:
45 Street will be closed from the corner of 45 Street and 47 Street to the entrance to the Quarry.
Access to the Quarry’s underground parking lot will be maintained using 45 Street.
Business access to 5589 47 Street will be maintained on 47 Street and detour signs will be in place to assist drivers in locating businesses.
This closure is scheduled to be in place again in late August.
August 21-27:
45 Street will be closed from the Quarry south around the corner to the entrance to 5580 45 Street.
Access to the Quarry’s underground parking lot will be maintained using 47 Street.
Business access to 5580 45 Street will be maintained and detour signs will be in place to assist drivers in locating businesses.
This detour is expected to be in place again in early September.
A third stage of closures along 47 Street is planned for October.
Updates on that work will be provided at a later date.
