Detours on QE2 at Hwy 2A & Taylor Drive start November 6

Heads up for central Alberta motorists on Monday. Officials with Alberta Transportation say there will be some temporary detours in place in and around the new Highway 2 / Gaetz Avenue Interchange project starting November 6.

Southbound Highway 2 traffic approaching Highway 2A / Taylor Drive, will be temporarily detoured onto the recently completed bridge structure over Taylor Drive. Drivers however will still be able to access Highway 2A / Taylor Drive as part of this detour set-up.

This means reduced speed limits may be in effect along southbound Highway 2 through this transition period and minor delays are expected. Motorists are reminded to drive safe and obey the speed limits through this construction zone.
