Sylvan Lake Principal receives ATA Distinguished Leadership Award

SYLVAN LAKE- Jodi Smith, Principal at École Mother Teresa Catholic School has been selected as a recipient of the 2016-2017 Distinguished Leadership Award by the Alberta Teachers’ Association.

“Jodi embodies visionary leadership at the highest level. With her eye for detail and focus on continuous school improvement, she models distinguished leadership in our school every day,” said Vice-Principal Ken Meraw, at École Mother Teresa Catholic School.

The Distinguished Leadership Award is given to school administration that share professionally, interact and act as mentors to new colleagues.

As an award recipient, Smith is invited to attend a gala and dinner hosted by the Council for School Leadership on Friday, May 19 at the Hyatt Place Hotel in Edmonton.
