Habitat for Humanity looks for volunteers for Lacombe project

RED DEER- Habitat for Humanity Red Deer Region Society is currently working on their second home build project in Lacombe.

They are putting up two new duplexes in the new Shepherd Heights subdivision which will house four new Habitat families come this July.

Habitat is seeking volunteers to assist with the build with shifts still available for June until Mid-July.

Skills Required:

– No construction experience is necessary to volunteer with the organization

– Must be eager, passionate and a willing worker

– Must be 18 years of age or older

– Shifts are available Tuesday to Thursday and run from 9:15 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. 

– Currently recruiting for both individual volunteer shifts and group build days

Training and support is provided as well as a safety orientation.

Work will include painting and interior finishes, siding, decks and soffits.
