UPDATE: Ponoka RCMP arrest man in relation to assault

UPDATE [JUNE 22] – RCMP say Hinkley has been located and arrested in Wetaskiwin. Mounties thank the public for their assistance.

Ponoka RCMP say they are looking for a man wanted in connection to an assault earlier this month.

Mounties say on June 8, they responded to a complaint at a rural residence in Ponoka County.

The investigation has led them to identifying 44-year-old Blair Hinkley of Ponoka as the individual allegedly involved in an assault on a woman at that property.

It’s believed he has left the area and is evading police.

Should you see Blair Hinkley, he should not be approached, but instead, the police should be called immediately.
